IUI # 1 (hopefully the one and only!)

So I had to wait until this morning to call my doctor because they were out of the office by the time I got my positive OPK last night.I woke up this morning at 7am to call, and I was bummed when they told me my OBGYN wouldn't be in until 9am. I laid back down in bed and tried to get some more sleep, but I was so excited that I couldn't sleep another wink. Once he called back at 9am, he explained the time frame we had and what had to be done. I voiced my concerns about ovulating from my right ovary, and he scheduled an ultrasound for me. We got to the hospital at 11am and got all checked it. They had Alex go do his thing in a private room and they took me down to radiology. I had to do an external and internal ultrasound. Everything looked great, except my right ovary had no activity whatsoever. I have two fantastic looking follicles on my left ovary (which is the side that has the blocked tube). Major let down... BUT, my OB explained that I only have two more rounds of Clomid that I can do and that I really should just give this once a chance since the right tube can actually catch an egg from the left side. Alex and I talked about it and we decided to go ahead with the IUI :-) I was given a shot of HCG to make sure that the follicles would release and then we waited for my OB to prep the "specimen" (I almost peed my pants laughing when he put it this way). About an hour later I went into the room, laid on the table, and the process took 5 minutes. And all done!! I had a little minor cramping, and right now I have a little spotting, which I was told is completely normal.

Please send all the prayers you can; we need them!!! Thank you for all the support! These next two weeks will be the longest in my life!!
